Author Guidelines

Manuscripts should be written in proper Indonesian or English. The manuscript must be prepared using a word processing software (currently, MS Word is highly recommended) on A4-size paper. The maximum length of the manuscript is 10 pages. The content should be written in two columns, with margins of 2.5 cm (top and bottom) and 2 cm (left and right).

A. Title Format

The title must be presented in both Indonesian and English as shown in the example, with the following format: centered, bold, Times New Roman (TNR) 16, single spacing.

The author’s name should be written in centered, bold, TNR 12, single spacing. For multiple authors from different institutions, superscript numbering (1) should be used. Institutional addresses and emails must be written in centered, TNR 10, single spacing.

B. Abstract Format

The abstract must be written in one column, in both Indonesian and English, following the example. The format should be justified, bold, TNR 11, single spacing.

C. Section and Subsection Headings

Section and subsection headings must follow the rules below:

  • First-level heading: aligned left, bold, TNR 13, single spacing, numbered with Roman numerals followed by a period.
    (Example: II. Theoretical Background)

  • Second-level heading: aligned left, bold, TNR 12, single spacing, numbered with uppercase letters followed by a period.
    (Example: A. Testing)

  • Third-level heading: aligned left, italic, TNR 11, single spacing, numbered with Arabic numerals followed by a closing parenthesis.
    (Example: 1) Laboratory Testing)

  • Fourth-level heading: not acceptable.

D. Figures, Tables, and Mathematical Equations

Figures and tables must be numbered and given titles, and should be placed directly within the main body of the text where they are discussed.

Mathematical equations must be written clearly, numbered sequentially, and provided with explanations of the notations used.

Each manuscript must be supported by at least five (5) recent references. Citations in the body text must be numbered according to their order of appearance.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
