Q and A

Q: I want to request a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) at the beginning after I submit the article. Can I get it?
A: No, you can not. We will provide LoA after the author completes the revision from the review results and the reviewer then assesses and decides whether the revised article is worthy of publication or not. If eligible, we will send the LoA.

Q: Is there a fee for paper submission or publication to the author?
A: No, there is not. JATI does not charge any fee for submitting, review, publish, until delivery of the printed version. See https://ojs.unikom.ac.id/index.php/jati/fee

Q: When is JATI published?
A: JATI is published biannually, in March and September. See https://ojs.unikom.ac.id/index.php/jati/publicationfrequency

Q: I have submitted the article in May 2018 and have passed the review and revision stages. Then I got the LoA that my article will be published in March 2019. Why did this happen?
A: We will process every article that comes in basically as soon as possible and the situation is sometimes there are many authors waiting in line to publish their articles. So we will prioritize authors who submit first. Please note that each issue of the publication contains 7 articles with a tolerance of 1 article that can be added or reduced.

Q: I have checked my article plagiarism using another plagiarism checker application. The results of checking that I got, the percentage of plagiarism is smaller than the results of the turnover that the JATI Editor gave me. Can it be used as a benchmark or reference?
A: We use Turnitin as a standard for checking plagiarism. If you use other applications to show the percentage results, we will not calculate it because it is not in accordance with our standards.

Q: Turnitin results show the percentage that Headers and Footers are attributes that must be corrected because they are detected as plagiarism, even though I took the template from OJS JATI.
A: In this section, we will reduce the weight of the percentage, so that it does not enter the calculation. This also applies to the References section of each article. For the next, the author is expected to do paraphrasing of other high-color article writings. Please note that the article to be published has a Turnitin percentage of less than 20%.
