Abstract

In the era of globalization where science and technology continues to develop rapidly, it certainly has an impact on the field of communication, more specifically mass communication through mass media. On the other hand, the development of mass media among us will certainly cause various kinds of influences and tend to be subjective due to differences in mindset and culture, many areas of life are affected by globalization, the areas affected are either positive or even negative, technological developments are also considered to force people to choose two choice, there are those who accept it voluntarily because of the need for technology, on the other hand there are also those who think that the presence of this technology can cause new problems in life. In the era of globalization that leads to globalization, communication is felt directly in the progress of the nation's civilization. One of the advances is mass communication through mass media which is increasingly easier, faster and more efficient in disseminating information to the wider community which can influence life style, perspective and culture, therefore this article will discuss the problem of social change and mass communication in the era of globalization.
