Abstract

Communication is a means of conveying information. In this modern era, communication can be done using social media. One of the social media that has many users is Instagram. Instagram provides a service to share photos and videos. Using a multimodality approach, the study will analyze visual and verbal using ideational and interpersonal metafunctions on posts on the official Who (World Health Organization) Instagram account. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. This study shows that there are differences in processes that occur in the clauses in both data and the similarities in the visual analysis. Although the two clauses have differences, they can provide interrelated information. So, the result of the two data analyses is that information can be conveyed using two modes, visual and verbal.
