Abstract

This study aims to describe the attitude changes experienced by Sawada's character in the ego defense mechanism in the form of sublimation in the drama Boku No Ita Jikan in terms of Sigmund Freud's theory of literary psychology. theory of Sigmund Freud's literary psychology. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, namely by examining data in the form of text and images. Based on the research results from the discussion of all data findings in the drama Boku No Ita Jikan is an ego defense mechanism in the form of sublimation, namely doing socially useful activities to replace uncomfortable feelings. Sawada does activities that are socially useful to replace his uncomfortable feelings. The anxiety that occurs is a push that occurs between the id and superego to the ego, thus forcing the ego to defend itself by making diversions.
