Abstract

Penggunaan sebuah sistem informasi di lingkungan organisasi terutama perguruan tinggi merupakan sesuatu yang sangat dibutuhkan dan penerapannya bukanlah sesuatu hal yang mudah untuk dilakukan. Penerapan sistem informasi di perguruan tinggi membutuhkan perencanaan yang harus matang dan terstruktur untuk menghasilkan sebuah rancangan sesuai kebutuhan, tujuan dan maksud perguruan tinggi tersebut. Untuk merancang sistem informasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan menggunakan sebuah framework yaitu, TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework). Penelitian ini akan memaparkan perancangan sistem informasi pada Bagian Administrasi Akademik dan Kemahasiswaan (BAAK) STMIK Widya Cipta Dharma yang menghubungkan sistem informasi ke berbagai bidang yang terkait dengan menggunakan framework TOGAF. Penelitian ini sepenuhnya mengarah pada fase-fase TOGAF ADM (Architecture Development Method) dalam merancang sebuah enterprise architecture sistem informasi akademik untuk mengelola bisnis pada BAAK STMIK Widya Cipta Dharma. Tahapan penelitian ini terdiri dari kajian literatur, pengumpulan data, premilinary, architecture vision, business architecture, information system architecture, technology architecture, opportunities and solutions dan migration planning. Hasil dari perancangan ini nantinya akan menghasilkan sebuah sistem informasi yang menghubungkan dari beberapa proses bisnis yang ada di STMIK Widya Cipta Dharma. Sistem informasi yang dirancang pada penelitian ini digunakan untuk mempermudah proses bisnis pada BAAK STMIK Widya Cipta Dharma.
