ANALISIS EFEKTIVITAS WIENCO LIBERIA LIMITED OLEH GLOBAL AGRICULTURE AND FOOD SECURITY PROGRAM (GAFSP) DALAM PENANGANAN EFEK KRISIS EBOLA DI LIBERIA

Abstract
This paper is written to examine, scrutinize, and analyse the effectivity of Global Agriculture and Food Security Program in coping with the effect of Ebola crisis in Liberia. The issue of food security in Liberia, after the Ebola pandemic has spreaded widely – and Liberia, is one of the country that highly impacted by the pandemic, and also the Ebola crisis effect brought up some serious problems. As a country that highly depend on agriculture, it is fit that GAFSP – a program established by IFC under World Bank, funded Liberia Governments to help the rubber and cocoa farmers to renovate and develop their warehouse project. The project will also help to secure the future of the rubber and cocoa industry in Liberia at a time when many Liberian’s source of income has been threatened by the spread of Ebola. By taking steps to ensure long-term sustainability of the sector, IFC will equip Liberia to better manage its recover post-Ebola.
Makalah ini ditulis untuk membahas, meneliti, dan menganalisa efektivitas Program Agrikultur dan Keamanan Pangan Global (Global Agriculture and Food Security Program) dalam mengatasi dampak krisis Ebola di Liberia. Masalah keamanan pangan di Liberia setelah pandemi Ebola, menyebar luas, dan Liberia, adalah salah satu negara yang sangat dipengaruhi oleh pandemi, dan juga efek krisis Ebola membawa beberapa masalah serius. Sebagai negara yang sangat bergantung pada pertanian, itu cocok dengan GAFSP – sebuah program yang dibentuk oleh IFC di bawah Bank Dunia, yang mendanai Pemerintah Liberia untuk membantu petani dalam sektor usaha karet dan kakao untuk merenovasi dan mengembangkan proyek mereka. Proyek ini juga akan membantu untuk mengamankan masa depan industri karet dan kakao di Liberia pada saat banyak sumber pendapatan di Liberia telah terancam oleh penyebaran Ebola. Dengan mengambil langkah-langkah untuk memastikan keberlanjutan jangka panjang dari sektor ini, IFC akan membekali Liberia untuk lebih baik mengelola masa pemulihannya pasca krisis ebola.
