Peran 88rising Dalam Membantu Artis Asia Memasuki Dunia Musik Global: Studi Kekuatan Perusahaan Transnasional

Abstract

This research will discuss the role of 88rising as a transnational corporation that runs in the music industry where 88rising is an independent music label that brings Asian artists to enter the global music scene. The main purpose of this article is to understand and also describe the role of 88rising as a transnational corporation in helping Asian artists to enter the global music scene. The theory used in this research is the theory of globalization and also transnationalism with qualitative research methods. The data search was carried out using secondary data observations, the sources are ranging from books, online news, reports and journal articles that support this research. Therefore, after going through the research and discussion that the author did, it was found that 88rising as a transnational corporation has a big role in bringing Asian artists into the global music scene. This is an extraordinary achievement considering that 88rising is an independent music label that was recently established, and also competes with other record major labels which are also transnational corporations.
