History

CRANE: Civil Engineering Research Journal is a scholarly journal in the field of civil engineering that was first published in April 2020. Since its inception, CRANE has been fully managed and published online through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, ensuring that the entire editorial process—from manuscript submission and peer review to final publication—is conducted electronically in an integrated and transparent manner.

The journal’s commitment to academic quality and professional editorial management led to its official recognition during the 2022–2025 period, when CRANE was accredited as a national journal by the Ministry of Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia with a SINTA 6 ranking. This milestone marked an important stage in strengthening the journal’s academic standards and governance. Subsequently, in 2026, based on Decree No. 295/C/C3/KPT/2026, CRANE achieved a significant advancement by being upgraded to SINTA 3 accreditation. This upgrade reflects continuous improvements in the quality of published articles, the rigor of the peer-review process, and the overall editorial management system.

To enhance accessibility, citation traceability, and protection against plagiarism, all CRANE publications have been registered with CrossRef and assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) since 2022. The implementation of DOIs ensures permanent digital identification for each article, improving discoverability and long-term accessibility within the global scholarly community.

As it continues to grow, CRANE remains committed to serving as a credible and progressive platform for disseminating high-quality civil engineering research at both national and international levels.
