Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the role of international organization to solve the problem in Indonesia. The problem of this research is the emergence of diseases in poultry in Indonesia since
2003 which has caused the death of million poultry and losses of tens to hundreds of million rupiah from breeders. In addition, problems regarding diseases in poultry do not only threaten  aterial loss but can have an impact on human health and the environment. Therefore the Food and Agriculture Organization through ECTAD program try to reduce the risk of spreading disease in poultry from year to year.

The method used in this research is qualitative methods. Data collected from interviews, journals, literature studies and online searches were analyzed using the International Relations approach. The research was carried out through interviews with Food and Agriculture Organization staff.

The results showed that the Food and Agriculture Organization through the Emergency Center for Transboundary Animal Disease (ECTAD) program has a very important role for Indonesia in helping reduce the risk of disease spread in poultry in Indonesia. This is evidenced by the annual decline in poultry mortality caused by diseases in Indonesia.
