Upaya Mercado Comun Del Sur (Mercosur) Dalam Meningkatkan Perekonomian Negara Anggota Tahun 2000 – 2018

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine Mercosur's efforts to improve the economy of member countries. The role of the organization to find out how Mercosur seeks to improve the economy
of member countries. Regionalism that helps in analyzing the sustainability of a region, and Economic Integration to assist in knowing how economic integration of member countries. Mercosur (Southern Common Market) played an important role in changing the economy of Latin American countries through better economic liberalization by holding international cooperation and forming a cooperation forum, namely Mercosur. Viewed from the historical perspective of organizations that once stood in Latin America, Mercosur was not the first organization to establish regional integration in Latin America. Mercosur is quite successful in carrying out regional integration, be it economic or political. In addition to the economic sector, Mercosur also has a positive achievement in the political sector where Mercosur is able to ease the tension of border disputes and arms competitions by creating a peace zone. In addition, Mercosur also encourages Latin American countries to respect human rights and democratic values
